Hi Adventure Fam!
If you have been keeping up with me on Instagram you know I just got back from the most incredible long weekend exploring the Teton Valley: aka the Idaho side of the Grand Tetons! You guys know how obsessed I was with the Tetons on my first visit a few years ago, so I jumped at the opportunity to go back this fall.
And the Teton Peaks Resort served as the absolute perfect gateway for adventure in the region! I got the chance to stay in the Wolf Tiny Home. The property has 3 tiny home units, a traditional lodge with hotel rooms, as well as RV sites. All complete with a PERFECT view of the Grand Tetons. I’m telling you, only a few sunsets in my life have come close to seeing the colors off the mountains here and watching the moon rise from behind Grand Teton was surreal. Want to see a room tour? Check out the highlights on my Instagram Page.
Fall in Idaho blew me away! The fall colors are full of yellows, oranges, and reds that make you truly feel the change of season. Nothing beats enjoying a fire on a chilly fall night, and with the personal fire pit behind my tiny home I got to enjoy being outside every single night while staying nice and toasty.
The tiny homes sleep up to 6 people making them perfect for solo travelers or families! Mine came complete with 2 full size beds, a loft that can sleep 2 additional people, a full bathroom and kitchen, coffee (a must for Sam when she is out adventuring) and an adjustable heater/air conditioner. It was so comfortable and cozy but spacious too. The current innkeepers Tory and Josh gave some great recommendations of local things to do as well!
Speaking of things to do, this area has plenty! I recommend Fall Creek Falls, taking a day to do Grand Teton National Park or Yellowstone (or both!), Mill Creek Trail for beautiful views of the Tetons, and Mesa Falls including the scenic byway. Pro Tip: Bears frequent this area, so be prepared. Always make noise so bears are aware of you, keep your distance whenever possible, and carry bear spray. If you need any, Teton Peaks always has some to rent at the desk! And watch for moose along the roads as you drive!
Are you not convinced yet? What if I tell you their lobby has free local beer and kombucha on tap, unlimited firewood for all your smore’s needs, a five-burner BBQ grill, horsehoe pits, disc golf, and SO MUCH MORE! You will love the ambience so much you may choose to rest from exploring and stick around the property for a few days! And the innkeepers are always available to help and really make this place feel like home, even when you come from out of state. So don’t keep making excuses and go book your trip ASAP!
